I finally have time to tell you how much I enjoyed my very first RTTH last weekend! I entered "horsey world" late in the game - got my first horse at age 51 and did not ride much before that - and only knew of RTTH in a vague sort of way. When I heard that 'my Aussie guy' was going to compete against Pat Parelli and Chris Cox though, I was ON BOARD to be there! What a great three days! I thought I was having fun until the competition actually started, and then I was RIVETED to my seat. It is facinating to watch a trainer do what they do so well. Although Clinton did not win and I was sad about that, I know that Chris truly deserved to win. I have a new appreciation for him and what he does.
I loved the special parking for Nation members. Loved the doors opening for us an hour early. It would have been nice if the vendors could have opened an hour early for us so we would not have to fight off the crowds around the booths. Congratulations to you and your crew. I'm sure it was stressful and tiring for all of you, but you did fantastic! I will be back!

Hi Tootie, I had the wonderful chance to volunteer at the RTTH. (My son was the one who wouldn't let you in the door, lol). I just wanted to say thank you so much for allowing us to help. It was BREATHTAKING... I can't stop thinking of this weekend and what an amazing show was put on. I almost didn't get to go because I had just had back surgery but I wasn't aboout to miss it. I was hoping for tickets but couldn't afford them, but I actually really enjoyed volunteering and hope me and my son will get to do it again next year. Just wanted to give you a big thanks for what you do.

Before another day goes by, I would like to THANK YOU! For another wonderful ROAD TO THE HORSE! Tenacious Tommy Garland and his colt were diligent in their training endeavor to ride through the obstacle course. Tommy is to be commended for his perseverance - as his horse! John Lyon's presentation with Preacher was unbelievable - just a love story between man and horse. I immensely enjoyed John's narration through the obstacle course. His patience was consistent - placing the training of the horse first. Richard was REWARDED! Such a calm and gentle man - displaying exactly what RTTH is all about. Patient and practical training in a respectful manner between human and horse. Once again my mind and heart were filled with knowledge and joy. I met you with Patti Colbert (another remarkable horse woman!) I was so sincerely happy to meet you. Thank you Tootie for all you do. Come May 11th I'm ready to buy tickets for 2010. THANKS AGAIN! ~ Lynn

"Road to the Horse allows me to see how each clinician uses different techniques yet they have the same goals. Having a connection with the horse and developing a relationship. Knowing this isn't the normal situation in training unbroke horses it's amazing to see what they do accomplish in such a short time. This allows people to get together and share the same interest regardless of the type of riding they do." ~ Ruthie
