Craig Cameron
Craig Cameron grew up dreaming of being a cowboy. Although he went to school in Houston, Texas, his family always owned and operated cattle ranches in Texas where Craig's heart and soul seemed most at home. Craig, with no training except the school of hard knocks, began to enter open rodeos in Texas. He competed in bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding. Craig always said, "The worst thing that could happen to a young rodeo competitor was to win, because winning just fueled the fire."
Throughout Craig's rodeo career he headquartered at the family ranch in Giddings. With a natural love of horses, Craig started taking local horses from people who were having "horse problems". Craig grew up watching rough and tumble methods of horse breaking in the 1950s and 60s and never did believe or cotton to the unnecessary rough treatment of the horses. Craig took a slower, more natural approach that seemed to work. Clients would get their horses back puzzled by how such an incredible transition had taken place. People wanted to come and watch the magic at work. Craig said, "When I started making them pay, they really started listening."
Then Craig heard about a man named Ray Hunt who advocated working with the horse and not against him. Craig followed in Ray Hunt's trail and became one of the "original clinicians". Craig is said to be one of the innovators of the one hour colt-starting demonstration which Craig has performed thousands of times all over the world. Now Craig performs his magic on a regular basis to enthusiastic horse owners, not only on the road where he travels almost 80,000 miles a year, but also as a regular on RFD-TV. Craig's two shows, Ride Smart and the the wildly popular, award-winning Extreme Cowboy Race, which Craig Cameron created and hosts have brought him even more notoriety in the horse industry. Craig has worked with and for such notables as: Bum Phillips, Red Steagall, Ty Murray, Red Adare, Lynn Anderson, Charmayne James, Buck Taylor, Jewel, Al Dunning, Cody Lambert, Michael Martin Murphy, R.C. Slocum, Bob Moorhouse, Jerry Diaz, J.W. Stoker and many more.
Craig Cameron keeps the cowboy way alive and well each day. If you know Craig Cameron you know his sense of humor and his trademark laugh that he is well known for at all of his clinics, at the ranch and on the road. But the road in many ways seems to still be home for Craig Cameron. After years of rodeo and decades of horsemanship clinics on the road, Craig is still going strong at an age where most men are riding the rocking chair. Craig still starts hundreds of colts and teaches hundreds of classes each year coast to coast and nation to nation. Craig Cameron may have grown up dreaming to be a cowboy, but with his induction into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, people now will always say, "He did not just dream it, he lived it."

Pat Parelli
Pat Parelli, founded his program based on a
foundation of love, language and leadership. Parelli
Natural Horsemanship allows horse owners at all
levels of experience to achieve success with their
horses by combining in-depth equine psychology
and common sense communication techniques into
the ultimate recipe for horse and rider success.
Since Pat and his wife and teaching par tner,
Linda coined the term Natural Horsemanship in
1991, they have spread PNH across the globe with
campuses in the United States, United Kingdom
and Australia.
These campuses equip horsemen and women with
the tools and mindset to build par tnerships with
their horses without the use of fear, force or
intimidation. Over the past 20 years, over 200,000
people across 35 countries have experienced PNH
either on campus or through the Parelli study-athome
program. By implementing the principles and
techniques of the Parelli program and creating a
firm foundation for horses, their students have
been able to achieve success they thought only
possible in their dreams.
Dedicated to creating a lasting legacy, Pat and
Linda are actively creating opportunities for
people who aspire to work in the equine industry.
While Parelli Natural Horsemanship is a global
company, it remains true to its family-oriented
foundation and has one unifying higher goal: "to
help create a better world for horses and humans".
In an effort to fur ther impact horses and the people
who love them, Pat and Linda have announced the newly formed non-profit Parelli Foundation. Created
for the charitable purpose of advancing education
for horses and humans in need, the foundation will
focus on four main causes that the Parelli Community
cares most about; scholarships, horse rescues, horsemanship for kids and therapeutic riders.
Coinciding with the launch of the new ParelliConnect.com site, 75% of monthly membership fees for
Benefactor Level Members will automatically be
directed to the Parelli Foundation. With no additional
action required on their part, Benefactors will
be helping to find "forever" homes for horses in
need, enriching children's lives through natural
horsemanship learning, developing future paraequestrians,
and supporting students all over the
world by developing the Parelli Professionals and
equine educators of tomorrow. The Parelli Community
will be able to identify these individuals by their black
"Benefactor" badge on the ParelliConnect.com web
site. (ParelliConnect.com provides an online social
forum packed with training tools, step-by-step to
do lists, video and more, including FREE streaming
video access to the entire Parelli Level 1 Education
material.)
Unbeknownst to the equine industry, the Parelli
Corporation has made a good head start on the Parelli
Foundation efforts already. Over the past three
years, while running the campuses on a break-evenonly
basis, some 400 students have received over
$3 million dollars in scholarships from Parelli. In
addition, over the past 25 years, they have donated
over half a million dollars to therapeutic riding causes
and the careers of para-equestrians.
When not on the road traveling, Pat enjoys competing
at regional reined cowhorse shows and cuttings
alongside his son Caton and the rest of the Parelli
Performance Team. He and Linda share their home with
two miniature dachshunds named Moxie and Vinny.
