Jonathan Field
Jonathan Field began his life with horses as an English rider, then
transitioned to a working cowboy on an historic cattle ranch in Western Canada.
Both these realms of riding still capture his heart; he continues to ride the range
on his cattle ranch and enjoys riding jumping horses. His quest to expand his
knowledge about horses abounds, and his passion continues to this day.
However, it was a tragedy that cemented Field's dedication to horses.
After being injured in an industrial accident at age 19, horses played a crucial
role in his recovery, both physically and mentally. From that point on, he was
determined to give back to the world of horses by building his career around
them and sharing what he has learned in his journey.
Field tips his hat in honor to his instructors and mentors, including top
horsemen Pat Parelli, Ronnie Willis, Ray Hunt, Craig Johnson and many more
that have helped him along the way. He also credits the horses themselves as
being teachers extraordinaire.
Field travels across North America appearing at expos and teaching
students of all skill levels. Performing with several of his own horses of different
breeds, Field has a distinct talent for teaching people how to elevate their
horsemanship and take their horses to higher levels of accomplishment — and
he does it with humor and kindness. He continually explores the realm of equine
psychology and is always developing innovative ways to improve on the horse/human relationship and how to teach that to others. Field has also documented
his horsemanship teachings in home study DVDs that have proven successful for
horse people around the world.
A gifted clinician and teacher, Field was presented the 2010 Readers
Choice Award for Exceptional Equestrian by Canadian Horse Journals Magazine.
Determined to become the best horseman he can be, he is also driven to share
his knowledge.
Field, his wife Angie, and their two young sons live in British Columbia,
where he maintains two horsemanship teaching centers in Western Canada, just
a bit north of Vancouver. For more information visit

Glenn Stewart
"The methods I use and teach now are very different than when I was 17. We would never have been able to get that much done if I was still using the old ways. Over the years I noticed some of the cowboys got around the horses a lot better than some of the others. Some guys were always in a wrestling match and others rarely got in a tussle," says Glenn Stewart.
It was in 1995 that he was shown a tape of Pat Parelli. What Parelli had to say interested Glenn and he decided to organize a clinic for him. Parelli asked him at the end of that clinic to come spend the summer in Colorado. ended up spending a lot of summers there, and became one of his instructors in 1997, and continued until 2007.
"Pat really opened my eyes and started me on the path I am on now. During those years and since I have spent various amounts of time with other great clinicians and horsemen and appreciate all that they have shared. I have been to clinics or seminars with Buck Branaman, Robert Miller, Craig Cameron, Leon Harrel, Karen Rohlf, the late Ronnie Willis, and Ray Hunt. These are some names I am sure you know but there were many other wonderful people as well. There is much to learn and so little time. I believe horses are a gift and privilege to humans and I like to try and give back to them some of what they have done for me," says Stewart.
On an average Glenn has 25-30 clinics per year, running from two to five days long. He also offers camps and a 3 month Horsemanship Course at his ranch in Fort St. John BC, as well as the Horsemanship Learning Adventure Series such as High and Wild Wilderness Adventures, and the Brazilian Lusitano experience. He has done demonstrations in Canada, the US, and Brazil. Glenn was nominated for WHR Horseman of the Year, and has also recently won the Extreme Cowboy Race at the 2010 Calgary Stampede.
At The Horse Ranch in Canada the Stewart family have been raising Quarter Horses for 9 years, and now have imported six Lusitanos which will be used for breeding and demonstrations. During the year Glenn will start between 30-60 client horses on average, everything from cutting horses to Warmbloods for jumping.
He has presented for the University of Saskatchewan Veterinarian Program, as well as given Colt Starting and Horsemanship demonstrations in Brazil for the Association of Brazil Pure Sangue Lusitanos (ABPSL) and while there, competed and won a Working Equitation Competition.
